Second Chance Theater's production of "The Glass Menagerie"

Second Chance Theater will be presenting Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie at the Farmington Community Arts Center March 26th and 27th at 7pm, with a matinee performance on the 27th at 1:00pm. This is one of the class plays of the American theater. It centers on the Wingfield family in Depression era St. Louis: Tom, an aspiring poet who spends his days in a warehouse eager to start out on his own life's journey; his overbearing mother Amanda who yearns for the glamor of the past; and his fragile sister Laura who dreams of a brighter future and a happiness that seems just out of reach. Delicately weaving truth and illusion, the story is written from the point of view of narrator Tom Wingfield.

This play has a small cast, so they are counting on the support of those who love good theater! The cast is made up of some exceptionally talented actors including Paul Wuthrich who was last seen playing Charlie Baker in Farmington City's Dinner Theater production of The Foreigner.

The play is appropriate for Junior High and older and would make a great "date night" activity. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and can be purchased on the website www.secondchancetheater.com or at the door. Hope to see you there!
